Working at height can be nerve-wracking but the Little Giant® SumoStance® ladder takes away these concerns and makes using a single ladder easy and safe. The Hyperlite SumoStance is designed for intensive work. This rope access ladder offers you unparalleled stability despite its light weight.
The SumoStance uses adjustable stabilizers to increase the stability of your ladder. The outriggers can be folded in and out to make transportation easier. When unfolded, the width of the ladder is almost doubled to give it even more lateral stability. The adjustable stabilizers make it easy to compensate for uneven floors and steps. The rubber base of the ladder can be rotated and has integrated ground and ice spikes on one side. The ladder is equipped with 4 cm deep rungs to ensure a secure and comfortable footing.
Most rope access ladders are heavy to carry, but the SumoStance is made of lightweight fiberglass. The use of fiberglass makes the ladder particularly suitable for working with and on electrical systems.
As safety is always the top priority, the integrated spirit levels on the SumoStance are a useful tool to show that the ladder is level and therefore in the optimum position.
Accidents with a ladder are often caused by the so-called "empty step", i.e. overlooking the lowest step. "Ground Cue" gives the user an acoustic signal when they reach the bottom step.

The advantages of this ladder are obvious. In addition to the points listed above, the SumoStance increases safety with its patent-pending Hi-Viz Green color. This color of fiberglass is easy to see, which helps prevent accidents.
The Hyperlite SumoStance meets all OSHA, ANSI A14 strength and testing standards. The rung/step spacing complies with OSHA and international standards. *OSHA 1910.23, OSHA 1926.10.53, CSA Z11, EN131-1, AS/NZS 1892.2.6.2
Our 2×8, 2×10, 2×12 and 2×14 models are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 131-1. The 2×16 rung model does NOT comply with EN131-1 and is manufactured according to the American standard. The 2×8 rung model is without rope pull.
